Based in Wells Somerset Comp-Bio Products Ltd supply affordable biodegradable and compostable packaging products. After local councils started kerbside collections, it became apparent that there was a need for more affordable alternative to the products currently available for collecting food waste. We decided that we would source alternatives and make waste collecting more affordable and encourage more people to either home compost or to take advantage of local council kerbside collections to reduce the landfill.
Compi-Sax bags are now accepted by SWP for kerbside collections. Somerset Waste Partnership have recently relaxed their rules on which caddy liners are acceptable. Up to March 2008 only SWP branded compostable were the only acceptable liners for their kerbside collections, these rules have now changed. Our compostable liners meet the DIN Certo EN 13432:2000-12 standards and carry the 'Compostable' logo. Compi-Sax bags are acepted by Mid Devon Councils kerbside collections.
